In this video I’m gonna show you very briefly, how to work with Recorder Bot and Player Bot of the v-User Bot Maker Software.
I’m going to automate the task that is repetitive, and I do it everyday, with the help of the v-User Bot Maker Software.
Meaning that, I should teach my repetitive task to v-User Bot Maker Software. So has it can later on, replay the task everyday on my behalf. My repetitive task, is reporting with this accounting software.
In the following, I’m going to automate one of my reporting task, which I do many times a day, so that you could watch the process to automate any task with v-User Bot Maker Software, first, we have to show the process to the Recorder Bot for one time.
For this purpose, I run the Recorder Bot, and then put it on the Recording mode.
Now, whatever I do, the Recorder Bot records.
So now, I directly go for the task that is repetitive and I do it everyday I double-click on the accounting software to run it. Meanwhile, the action I’m doing are being recorded. So far, double-click is recorded as a mouse command.
I type my usual username and password with keyboard, and click on the login button with the mouse.
Now that the accounting software has opened, I go for the report menu, and make the post office statistics ready for printing. As I was going through my repetitive task process, the Recorder program has automatically recorded all of my actions. So now, I can stop the recording and save recorded commands as a file on my desktop, naming it “macro1”.
I closed the accounting software. We can see the file containing recorded commands located on the desktop.
Now that the commands are saved in a file, we have to see if the Player Bot of the v-User Bot Maker Software is able to do those tasks by itself automatically. I drag the saved commands file, onto the Player Bot, and let’s see what happened.
Yes the player program immediately, opens the accounting software, enters the username and password by itself, and clicks on the login button with its own mouse. Well, we see that the commands are executed correctly and automatically. Let’s see the actions one more time.
Drag the commands file onto the Player Bot, and watch; username, password, and then enter. In this process, my mouse is fixed in here and I did nothing.
From now on there is no need for me to go through all the process for that reporting.

In this video, we are going to demonstrate some of the features of the v-User Bot Maker Software Editor application For some commands, instead of using the Recorder, it’s better to define them with the Editor.
I want to built a Bot that opens the chrome browser, navigates to the website that I want, and extracts data from it.
Here I want to open x-rates, which is a website that shows the exchange rates between different currencies.
And then, I want to copy some specific data from this website and save it to an Excel file. For the commands that are specific to web and Excel, using the editor application is the best option, and that way, they will execute on time and with precision.
To build this Bot, first I open the Editor application.
in the Editor application, I have access to all the tools that I need to develop a customized Bot.
I just need to know when and where to use each of these capabilities. First, I delete the first command that is inserted by default and begin to add the commands that I want.
From the list of "web automation action", I choose the open browser action and drag it to the commands section. In the window that opens, I select the Chrome Browser. I set the window state option to normal, and click on OK.
For the next command, I drag the "Go to URL and navigate" action to the commands section and drop it below the first command.
I enter the address of the website, which is x-rates, and click on OK. The third command should get the information that I want.
In order to do this, first, I need to specify the element from which I want to retrieve the data. So I go to the variables section, right-click on the web variables, and select Insert. Since I am going to work with chrome, I close the default v-User browser, which opens by default. And select the chrome browser and click on Open.
Now I navigate to the main page of the x-rates website and drag the target sign to the element that I want to capture, and release the mouse.
By doing this, I introduce that element to the editor application. The editor has set a default name for the element, and since I have no more elements to work with, I can easily remember that name, and I don’t need to change it. I close the windows that I don’t need, and continue to add the commands.
I drag the Get Data from web element action and drop it to the bottom of the commands list. In the target element section, I need to select the element from which I want to retrieve the data.
I select the element-0 variable, At the bottom, I need to specify a destination for the retrieved data.
The data will be saved here. I select the clipboard option. The clipboard is the temporary memory of windows, and whenever you copy something, It will be temporarily placed in this memory.
I could have defined a new variable, but in this case, there is no need to do that. I click on OK to add this command to the list. The next move is to save the retrieved data in the Excel file.
But before that, I need to close the browser that has bee opened in the previous command. I add a simple action to do that. To work with an Excel file, first I create an empty Excel file in the same location as the macro. Then I go to the editor application, and from the list of Excel action, I drag the open Excel file action and drop It in the bottom of the commands.
In the file name section, I click on the browse button and select the Excel file that I have created, and click on OK.
Since I might want to run this Bot daily or in every couple of hours, I need to do something so that when a date is retrieved, it is saved in the last row of the Excel file. In order to do this, I am going to use the Go To Cell action three times.
The first time, I move the focus to the A1 cell. The second time, I move the focus to the last cell that has any value. And the third time, I move the focus one cell down, and this is the first empty cell of the first column.
The last command is to set the retrieved data in the focused cell which is easy. I drag the set Cell Text and drop it in the commands list. This action sets the data in the focused cell and I just need to specify the data. I have put the retrieved data in the Clipboard, and here I select the Clipboard, and it will be copied to the focused cell. All done.
The Bot has been built and I am going to save and then test it. To run the Bot, all I need to do is to drag the main file that has the vum extension, and drop it in the v-User Player Bot The Bot runs very fast, gets the data from the element that I’ve specified, and puts in the last cell of the Excel file. Let’s me save the Excel file and run the Bot one more time.
Again, with the same speed and precision. In this video, we have used some of the available capabilities to build our Bot.
We didn’t explain all the features, but we have showed the general workflow of developing a macro. Now that you have some knowledge about the use of action and macros, you can test the different actions and variables of the v-User Bot Maker Software.

After downloading the v-User Bot Maker Software Just one file comes into your system. Which is a compressed zip file.
The main files for the v-User Bot Maker Software are compressed into the zip file and first, we’re gonna have to extract them.
The file you’ve downloaded may look like a handbook or a folder with a zip. Anyways, with a double-click on the compressed file, its contents will be available to you and by dragging the contents on the desktop or any others folder you prefer, you could extract them.
After extracting the contents of the downloaded file.
You will see five files inside the v-User Bot Maker Software folders.
Three main files of the v-User are pretty clear. All three, are designed in the shape of a hand. The other two different files, are the help for the software. One of which is in Persian, and the other one is in English. If you don’t need the Persian help file, you could delete it. Application of the help file is obvious.
It is made to guide you about the different part of the v-User Bot Maker Software.
Now, the main programs of v-User Bot Maker Software.
the v-User Recorder Bot, is shaped as a red hand which has a red circle on it’s center meaning "Record".
And as the name says. It is used for recording and learning the commands from you.
the v-User player Bot is shaped as a green hand, which has a triangle one it’s center, meaning "play".
And as the name says, it is used for playing the previously saved and recorded commands. And, the v-User Editor Bot, is shaped as a yellow hand, which has a pencil on it’s center, meaning "Edit".
Apparently, it is used for editing the saved commands. Now, a few tips on the files that are created after the Recording.
I start the v-User Recorder Bot and put it on Recording mode. Do a few clicks so it Records my actions. Then, I stop recording, and save the recorded commands in the same folder. Well, we can see two files are created in here.
One is with .vum extension, which contains the commands. So called a "Macro".
And the other one, with .rimages extension, contains the screenshots of the time recording each command. The extension are hidden on my system. Let me make them visible so that you could see the vum extension.
Our main file, is the .vum file which is called a macro and the commands are saved on this file. To play or Edit the file, we need to drag the vum file, onto the player or the Editor. If dragged and dropped the macro onto the v-User Player Bot, the player would repeat all the actions we recorded.
Right click on My Pc, close window. If dragged and dropped the macro onto the v-User Editor Bot, the saved commands will open on the Editor and the screenshots could be seen too. The screenshots come from the .rimages file.
That does not pose any problem on the whole process if deleted. There just wont be any screenshots on the Editor Bot.
Let’s check a useful trick to automatically run a Macro. While on the Player Bot setting, hit associate vum file with v-User Player Bot And the macro file’s icon turns into a green colored hand. From now on, just a double-click on the macro runs it automatically and we don’t have to drag and drop anymore.
Before getting to the final point let me tell you something about the help file which is obvious and you probably already knew it. While working with the program press F1 anywhere you are and the relevant help section appears.
If you are on the variables section and press F1. The help related to the variables section appears. Last but not the least, if you know this, when we open the v-User Recorder Bot the program runs perfectly, but when we open the v-User Player Bot or v-User Editor Bot, we faced a box that says this version is available to you just for evaluation.
If you study the contents of this page, you’ll know that to remove the limitations of the v-User Player Bot and v-User Editor Bot. You will need to enter the purchased serial numbers, using the insert serial number box so this box will not be shown anymore. I’ll explain the activation process using the purchased serial numbers in another video.
